Hello Families, 

I hope everyone is doing well. We are excited to kick off our season today! Please see below for important details and reminders regarding today's practice. 

First Practice/Team Meeting/Picture Day 

Our first practice will be today Sunday, October 11th starting at 5p. Coaches and booster club officers will be at Transy around 4:30pm today to start moving people through the line, so we can start our team meeting as close to 5p as possible. This practice, and all of our practices, will be at Transy's William T Young Campus Center (361 N Broadway). We will be verifying preseason requirements, have our team meeting with the student-athletes, and have our team picture day. If you are able to arrive early, please do, so we can stay on schedule this evening. Important reminders of items needed for today:

• All Students: Please wear khakis, jeans, or plain dark pants and closed-toed shoes. Team t-shirts will be passed out this evening.
• All Students: Please bring a pencil or pen.
• All Seniors: Please also bring a team or neutral colored suit (this CAN be a tech suit!) and goggles.
• Any other athletes (non-seniors) wanting to purchase individual pictures: Please also bring a team or neutral colored suit (this CAN be a tech suit!) and goggles.

We should be wrapped up on Sunday by 7p, but we could possibly be done earlier than that. As with all of our events, please be on time for pickup.

Required Forms, Required Fees, Payment to Booster Club 

Please make sure you have completed and submitted your required forms prior to Sunday's practice (the earlier the better). As a reminder, the required forms are as follows:

• SwimTopia Registration (everyone receiving this email has completed this)
• KHSAA Physical
• Transportation Form
• Swim Test Form
• MS Playing Up Form (if you did not hear from me earlier today on this, you are good to go here)

There are also 2 required fees ($25 FCPS Insurance Fee, $25 LHS Athletics Fee), with exceptions for Free/Reduced Lunch students. I misspoke at our parent meeting on this related to Middle Schoolers. For our Middle Schoolers, the $25 LHS Athletics Fee is to be turned in to me. The $25 FCPS Insurance Fee is to be turned into their school. All checks that will be turned into me can be made out to Lafayette High School.

The final preseason requirement is with the Booster Club. Any family sponsorships or merchandise ordered during the SwimTopia registration should've produced a receipt at the end of your registration. Please make checks for these items out to LHS Swim and Dive Boosters. 

One thing to note with the KHSAA Physical and both sets of fees. If your child played a fall sport this school year, please let me know which one. They may have a copy of your physical and fees should've been paid to that sport (and wouldn't have to turn fees into us). CLICK HERE for more info on all of the preseason requirements.
