Hello Families,
I hope everyone is doing well. I wan to congratulate our entire team, both kids and parents, for a great regular season! We cannot do what we do without each and every person being involved. We are looking forward to a great postseason and had some details we wanted to share about the events taking place next week.
PASTA PARTY
Everyone (even if you are not selected to the Region Team) is invited to join us for our team Pasta Party. We will have a team activity, share important details for the post-season, and carb load with pasta and bread, so please make every effort to attend.
- When: Monday, January 19 @ 12PM (NO SCHOOL - MLK DAY)
- Where: Transy Pool (come as you would come to practice & we will lead you to where we will be)
- Who: ALL TEAM MEMBERS (even if you are not selected to the Region Team, you are still invited and encouraged to attend)
POSTSEASON MEETS
The championship season is composed of 3 meets for swimming & 2 meets for diving. As a reminder, we unfortunately cannot bring our entire roster to the postseason due to entry limits. We will release the Region team on Saturday, January 17, 2026. If you are not selected to the Region Team, you are done for the season. Only those who are on the Region Team need to be at practice on Sunday, January 18, 2026. From Region, you must qualify (“survive and advance”) to earn your position at subsequent meets.
2026 KHSAA REGION 8 CHAMPIONSHIPS
- Please note that while both Swim and Dive will take place during the school day, these are excused absences. Kids will still need to make up the work that they missed on the day they were absent.

In an effort to put each of our athletes in the best position to succeed, we need your help fueling them during this long meet day. The Booster Club will be providing lunch (small sub sandwiches) for everyone. We are asking for your help in providing snacks for our athletes who will be competing. I have attached a link below to sign up for snacks. Each line item is around $10. I have attached a document with images of each listed line item for clarification. ALL ITEMS WILL BE BROUGHT TO CENTRE COLLEGE ON THE DAY OF THE MEET! We will not be collecting items at Transy in advance as we have done in years past.

Again, the Region Team will be announced on Saturday, January 17, 2026. If you would like to see if your student athlete will be selected to the Region Team prior to committing to bring a snack item that is totally fine. However, we ask that you please sign up for an item by Sunday, January 18th. If you have more than one athlete selected to the Region Team and would like to sign up to bring more than one item, that would be greatly appreciated. All snack items will be available for Lafayette Swim & Dive student athletes ONLY. Snacks for our Region Divers will be sent with Coach Ronni to Scott High for the Dive Region Meet.
As a reminder, finalized timelines for the Region Swim & Dive Meets will be shared as we know them, so please keep an eye on your email. Information regarding the Semi-State and State Meets will be sent after the Region Meet has been completed. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
